How to Watch a 24-Hour Race (Without Staying Up All Night)
2026-01-08
Nobody expects you to watch every minute. But the right moments can make a 24-hour race feel like the most exciting event of the year.
The Start
Green flag. Clean cars, fresh tires, and everyone fighting for position. The first hour sets the tone.
Sunset
When the lights come on and the track changes character. Night stints are where mistakes happen and races are won or lost.
Sunrise
If you wake up early, the sunrise stint is beautiful. The track is quiet, the crowd is thin, and the surviving cars are grinding through the home stretch.
The Final Hour
This is when everyone tunes back in. 23 hours of racing come down to the last 60 minutes. Tune in here at minimum.
Squares Checkpoints
Set your pool to score at 6h, 12h, 18h, and the finish. That way you have four reasons to check in across the full 24 hours.
